On Columbus Circle 180 singers and dancers from Young People's Chorus and the National Dance Institute, joined by 200 adults, sung and danced to Give Us Hope, and dazzled a huge, enthusiastic crowd that gathered within seconds. Watch out for the full video on Youtube soon! 

Special thank-you to the Scottish Choir whose 132 members from 3 different choirs saved for 2 years to join us this year in NYC!  They were a huge hit everywhere they went, and their "Gift to the U.S." - a brilliant arrangement of Star Spangled Banner and Amazing Grace sung together - touched everyone's heart.

A few of us were lucky enough to attend the NY Philharmonic's performance of Mahler's Resurrection, truly a tours de force that left the audience in tears of appreciation.  Also at the Lincoln Center, Table of Silence was performed by 100 NYC dancers on the plaza on Sunday morning.  A result of choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi's vision and determination, it was poignant and indescribably beautiful.

Sunday night at St. Patrick's Cathedral, just when I thought our signature concert couldn't get better than last year's, the NY Choral Society, St. Patrick's Choir, and Young People's Chorus of NYC gave yet another magnificent performance. We left the Cathedral in awe of what was just given to us.

Smaller, but no less significant, concerts took place in senior centers, subway stations, and office plazas.  Words of appreciation for the music brought to and by these venues are a reminder that music indeed has a magical power.
