A part of The September Concert since 2005, The Heart of Jazz creates a space where members of New York s jazz community come each year to express the emotions of that day -- as NYers who lost friends and loved ones and as members of a musical community that was financially devastated for months following the attacks. More than 155 different artists have participated over these six years, offered their unique take on that day and raised their individual prayers for peace through the healing qualities of their music. More than forty artists are slated to appear over two nights in 2010.
