	About the Event Perform Be a Venue Volunteer Donate Concert Listings See the Video		The 4th annual city-wide music festival in NYC - expanding to other cities of the world - The September Concert is not just one concert, but many concerts that are held throughout the city every September 11th. What began in New York City is now expanding into other cities. As the New York City events greets its 4th year, Bolder, Colorado celebrates the 2nd year, and Tokyo, Japan, is starting one this year. Wherever we are, our goal is to fill the city with music - in parks and gardens, in churches and schoolyards, in coffee shops and restaurants, on street corners, in libraries and building lobbies... and turn this day into a day of sounds of music, acts of love, and wishes for peace. We feature and welcome all kinds of music -from hip hop and pop/rock to classical and world music, organized and played by anyone who wants to participate - professionals and amateurs, regardless of age, race, musical genre or background. We welcome you to start one in your own city. It's easy! We adhere to three principles: Freedom: All venues and musicians are free to design and organize their own concert. Equality: All music and all musicians are treated equally, regardless of the genre and background. Accessibility: All music is offered free of charge - Venues donate their space, and musicians play for free. This web site acts as the central information office. You can sign up online as a performer, a venue, a volunteer, or a donor/sponsor, or view our videos to see what it's like. The September Concert is entirely brought to fruition by the giving spirit of the participants.		Share your talent, whether you are a professional or an amateur in The September Concert. All kinds of music and dance are welcome. And if you can't sing, dance or play an instrument, you can volunteer your time or simply come out and enjoy the concerts. PERFORM: Sing. Play music. Dance.
